This year I decided to purchase Cellulose Compressed Facial Sponges for my clients as gifts. I enjoy properly caring for my skin and I am expressing my gratitude to my clients this year as an esthetician. I have listed the directions below for using the cellulose sponges. I prefer to use them to clean my face, but they can also assist with removing makeup.
Step-by-step guide for facial cleansing
1. Expand the sponge: Place the compressed sponge under warm running water until it fully expands to its regular size and shape.
2. Rinse thoroughly before first use: Before the first use, rinse the sponge thoroughly with warm water to remove any residual elements.
3. Apply cleanser: Add your facial cleanser to the expanded sponge or directly to your face.
4. Cleanse your face: Gently massage your face in a circular motion to clean and exfoliate. You can fold the sponge for more concentrated scrubbing or use the corners.
5. Clean and dry after use: Rinse the sponge well to remove all soap and dirt. Wring out the excess water and let it air dry in a clean, well-ventilated area.
6. Store properly: Keep the sponge in a cool, dry place. Replace the sponge as needed or every one to two weeks for personal use to maintain freshness.
Step-by-step guide for removing makeup
1. Expand the sponge: Place the compressed sponge under warm running water until it fully expands to its regular size and shape.
2. Rinse thoroughly before first use: Before the first use, rinse the sponge thoroughly with warm water to remove any residual elements.
3. Apply coconut oil: Apply a quarter size amount of coconut oil to your makeup and gently massage the oil in a circular motion. Use you ring finger to circulate the oil around the eyes to loosen waterproof eye makeup.
4. Apply Micellar water: Add Micellar water to the expanded sponge and gently remove the oil and makeup. Squeeze and repeat as needed.
5. Cleanse your face: Using a different clean and dampened sponge and your normal cleanser, gently massage your face in a circular motion to clean and exfoliate. Rinse excessive cleanser, then apply toner and moisturizer.
I hope you found this useful and my your hair flow and your skin glow in 2026 and beyond!
Have a fantastic hair day!
